CT was delighted to once again be a headline sponsor of Celebrate Chesterfield, an annual event aimed at showcasing our home town and its fantastic businesses.
More than 300 business leaders attended the event, organised by Destination Chesterfield, to learn about further investment plans for the town.
The event heard that more than £700m of key developments in Chesterfield will enter the delivery phase in 2017, creating more than 4,000 new jobs over the next five years.
Jobs will be created at the Chesterfield’s flagship developments, including Chesterfield Waterside, Peak Resort, Northern Gateway, Walton Works and Markham Vale.
Significant movement has been made on Staveley Corridor following confirmation that there will be an HS2 maintenance depot based there which will create around 250 jobs.
Richard Thompson, CT’s sales director, said: “We’ve got a great relationship with Destination Chesterfield and have many clients in and around the town, so we were absolutely delighted to once again have the opportunity to sponsor and exhibit at Celebrate Chesterfield.
“The event has become a firm fixture on the calendar and as one of the local business events of the year.
“The exhibition gave us a great opportunity to showcase our business to local business leaders and demonstrate our passion for supporting business in the area though IT support and telecoms solutions.
“We already provide many local business with the IT support and security they need to help them grow and we hope that through continued collaboration between local organisations in the region, we can place Chesterfield and its business strengths on the national map.”
