Veeam launches Windows agent
Veeam, the cloud and back-up specialists, has now released its physical windows agent for both servers and desktops.
This includes features such as application aware backups and the facility to backup directly to a Veeam Cloud Connect provider such as CT.

Ofcom orders BT to split out Openreach
Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, has forced Openreach to be run as a separate company within the BT group.
It is no longer to be referred to as BT Openreach, just Openreach.
All major customers of Openreach, such as Vodafone and TalkTalk will be involved in discussions about major investments on an equal footing with BT Wholesale, in a bid to address competition concerns.
CT urges backup checks in wake of cyber attacks
In a world where cyber threats are changing from historically hardware failure to deliberate attacks on company data, CT is recommending that all companies which use cloud-based services review their backup strategies to ensure they are adequately protected.
