The Importance of Internal Development at CT
Rob Longden, Commercial Director at CT, takes a look at the importance of internal development and the growing team at CT
We know here at CT that the performance of the company depends on attracting and retaining the best talent. Workers want more than just a good job, they want to grow and develop their skills, so there needs to be room for progression and growth. Investing in talent development and ensuring the right training is available is of paramount importance here at CT. We are proud that a number of people here at CT have recently received promotions or progressed to different areas within the business that they wished to explore. We have also welcomed three more people to the team in the last few weeks.
Lewis Briggs has been a key team technical support on the service desk for the last two years. Gaining valuable experience in this role, coupled with the completion of his Level 4 Apprenticeship, Lewis’ customer service mindset and interest very much paved the way to move across to the implementation team. Lewis will now be working towards becoming a full time engineer at the beginning of 2020.
Helen Begley joined CT as a Technical co-ordinator. Over the past two years, Helen has steadily built her knowledge through her apprenticeship training and working alongside engineers to shadow and learn. After expressing strong interest to use these skills Helen’s role has migrated from scheduling engineers, to becoming one herself. Helen now regularly works for several big customers and is constantly working to build her skillset to carry out large complex projects.
Matt Atkinson has recently been promoted to Senior Account Manager. Since joining the team back in March, Matt has made a real impact both here at CT and also amongst his growing portfolio of customers. Matt’s core technical experience and strength in aligning IT requirements with the customers business objectives has added real value to our customers.
Becky Connor joins CT from DXC and brings 10 years IT Service Management and Service Delivery experience into CT’s Service Operations team. As an ITIL certified member of the team, her experience in Major Incident Management ensures that CT’s IT support customers receive high levels of service focus during critical periods whilst delivering continuous service improvement programmes throughout the contract lifecycles.
Rachel Layton also joins CT from DXC and brings a wealth of customer service as well as operational management experience into CT’s Service Operations team. As an ITIL certified member of the team coupled with her experience, ensures that CT’s contracted IT support customers receive high levels of service focus whilst delivering continuous service improvement programmes.
The marketing team has also welcomed Tanis Raven, Digital Marketing Assistant. A talented graphic designer with a master’s degree in Digital Media Production, Tanis has joined CT’s marketing team to drive campaigns across web, social media, email, video and print.
