Mark Dowson – Project Engineer
What does your job role involve at CT?
I have recently joined CT as a Project Engineer, which involves the implementation of a wide range of technical solutions for customers – both new & upgrades of existing IT infrastructure, such as installation, migration and troubleshooting for solutions including server infrastructures, network infrastructure, cloud and telephony platforms.
What expertise do you bring to CT?
I’ve been working in IT for 16+ years with the last 7 years at a large multi-national company looking after the European systems. I have also worked in IT in Healthcare, Retail and Rail Industries.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy motorsports and cars in general. I also enjoy music, audio visual and graphics creation and spending time with friends and family.
Laura Thorpe – Project Manager
What does your job role involve at CT?
I have recently joined CT to provide delivery of all projects, leading and managing them closely to ensure positive results for our customers.
What expertise do you bring to CT?
I have over 6 years of experience working in the project management team of a multi-national telecoms business delivering WAN, LAN, Cloud Services, Firewall projects to international businesses.
What are your interests outside of work?
I’m currently on a mission to do 40 crazy things before I turn 40! I’ve swam with sharks, thrown axes and hunting for ghosts to name a few. I love visiting new places, walking and making memories with family and friends.
Luke Marshall – Talent Acquisition Manager
What does your job role involve at CT?
I have joined CT to help with the internal recruitment process, bringing in new staff and aiding the company’s growth.
What expertise do you bring to CT?
I have 11 years recruitment and business development experience and have built several offices from the ground upwards and won a couple of awards on the way.
What are your interests outside of work?
Most of my spare time is mainly taken up by the kids however, I enjoy fishing, football and boxing. I also have an IMDb film credit!
Chris Melladay – Infrastructure Engineer
What does your job role involve at CT?
I work in the infrastructure team to deliver solutions built on CT’s cloud infrastructure such as virtual private servers, remote backup, connectivity, web hosting & telecoms as well as supporting CT’s internal IT infrastructure.
What expertise do you bring to CT?
I spent the last 4 years working for an academy in West Yorkshire. I managed a small team & was responsible for staff training along with maintaining & improving the IT facilities.
What are your interests outside of work?
I like spending time with my wife & kids as well as doing long exposure landscape photography and wildlife photography what I started to enjoy during my visits to South Africa’s Kruger Park.
Damon Bates – Workshop Engineer
What does your job role involve at CT?
At CT, I am responsible for the preparation & repair of customers equipment using my technical knowledge & experience.
What expertise do you bring to CT?
I have two years worth of experience with hands-on with hardware diagnosis, repairs and installs. I bring a wealth of knowledge in hardware and fault finding to CT.
What are your interests outside of work?
I’m a big F1 enthusiast & spend my time using my racing sim. I often go walking in the Peak District. Otherwise I am fettling & creating whatever technology I can at home.
Jaki Veitch – Business Process Analyst
What does your job role involve at CT?
I am looking to enhance and streamline internal processes and further increase our knowledge base across all areas at CT.
What expertise do you bring to CT?
Having worked in IT support for over 10 years, I have expanded my skill set to be able to proactively take up the role of Business Process Analyst. Previously, I worked as part of the out-of-hours teams for corporate organisations.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work I love to travel. I am also a keen diver and baker!
