Team CT’s continued growth journey
Carl Moore – Account Manager
I joined CT with over 28 years’ experience in IT spanning across Service Desks, Field Engineering, Service Management, Solution Design and Account Management.
I currently look after after customers of various sizes, across a multitude of sectors. I assist customers with anything from supporting with IT requests and issues, to performing account reviews. The reviews ensure our Customers have the right solution for their business, checking for any current vulnerabilities, and addresses any immediate areas of concern. After an in-depth discussion, an IT roadmap is either created, or updated. Innovation is also a key part of this, where we recommend how customers could further enhance their IT journey.
Outside of work I am a single Dad to five children. Two girls (Shannon & Kiera) and three boys (Brandon, Harvey & Travis), aged between 12 and 26. I’m also a Civilian Instructor within the RAF Air Cadets, teaching cadets: Leadership, Cyber Skills, Shooting, First Aid, as well as Duke of Edinburgh skills (orienteering, map reading, camping & trekking). In the past, I’ve also served in the Royal Signals (Territorial Army), which was one of the drivers for me wanting to give back and help train Air Cadets.
Shaun Smith – Account Manager
With over 35 years within the IT industry working for I joined the CT team earlier this year, my current role is Account Manager working with our valued customers to develop and provide additional support services and infrastructure-based solutions. In my previous roles I was a Senior Account Manager selling Enterprise Infrastructure solutions, Third-Party Hardware break-fix services and Data Centre solutions. Outside of work I currently like to play golf go to the gym (not to often) and go for bike rides.

My role at CT as a NOC engineer is to monitor key systems and be responsible for managing and maintaining the patch management systems. I have 24 years’ experience in the IT industry, working previously at 2 large managed service providers. Experience’s including Service Desk/Infrastructure and Management, in sectors such as Healthcare, Local Government, Education and Commercial.
Outside of work our children’s social life’s take much of our time up. We probably drive more miles than a part-time taxi driver! My son (Riley) plays football 4 times a week for the Emerging talents centre and his local team Hasland U10’s, which I also coach for. My daughter (Maya) is just finishing her GCSE’s and will be attending college to study Sports Coaching after the summer break. If there is ever any free time, we do enjoy a good walk or a bike ride.
Joey Duffy – Field Engineer (not pictured)
After working 12 years in IT, I decided to challenge myself and find a role suited to all my strengths, looking for a job that allows me to be on site with a customer and troubleshoot wide-scale issues or install brand new equipment to improve their IT infrastructure. I came across CT and have found being a Field Engineer offers huge job satisfaction and rewarding customer feedback. Each day is different at CT and the work-life balance has been the best I’ve experienced so far in my career.
Outside of work, I am an experienced forager of mushrooms and plants. I’m also a professional photographer and have travelled up and down the country to different venues. I love sports and player-manage a football team in the week and often play racket sports such as badminton and squash. I’m also a space enthusiast and have a dog called NASA.
