What is the role?
The Sales and Marketing Analyst plays a key role in driving new business growth by combining data-driven insight with targeted marketing outreach. This role supports the Marketing and New Business teams by identifying trends, uncovering opportunities, and executing campaigns that connect the company with high-potential customers and markets.
With a strong passion for data, the Sales and Marketing Analyst is highly analytical and comfortable working across CRM systems and multiple marketing channels. They translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform outreach strategy, optimize campaign performance, and support lead generation and pipeline growth.
This role blends data analysis, market research, campaign execution, and multi-channel engagement, working closely with the Marketing Manager, New Business team, and wider marketing function to ensure messaging is consistent, timely, and effective. It offers hands-on experience across digital and direct marketing initiatives while playing a meaningful role in shaping strategy and supporting broader growth objectives.
Key responsibilities:
The key duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Conduct research to identify target industries, accounts, and market opportunities.
- Plan and execute outreach campaigns, including email, phone, and social media engagement.
- Achieve 15 appointments a month for the new business team
- Responsible for lead generation across the new business team
- Collaborate with the marketing and new business team to align outreach with campaigns, events, content, and messaging.
- Track and report on campaign performance, engagement, and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activity in CRM or marketing tools.
- Provide insights from outreach research to support broader marketing initiatives.
- Engage with existing customers and prospects to get them to Tech Breakfasts/events
- Create and manage new business campaigns through outreach tools
- Work closely with new business team to share insights and create/manage campaigns
- Pass warm leads to the new business team to try to convert to meetings
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a confident and professional phone manner.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Comfortable conducting research and identifying key accounts or audiences.
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn within a marketing-focused environment.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to campaign planning discussions.

Skills & experience:
The successful candidate must have:
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong research ability to identify relevant markets, accounts, and decision-makers.
- Experience coordinating outreach activity via email, phone and social media channels.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing tools for tracking and reporting campaign performance.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset – able to interpret engagement data, draw insights, and suggest improvements.
- Team-oriented and collaborative, with a proactive approach to contributing ideas and supporting campaigns.
The successful candidate would benefit from having the following experience:
- Previous experience in a marketing, lead generation, or outreach-related role.
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and data management best practices.
- Understanding of audience segmentation, campaign targeting, and messaging personalisation.
- Ability to assist with campaign planning, testing, and reporting alongside the wider marketing team.
- Interest in developing skills across broader marketing areas such as content creation, email marketing, and events.
- Comfortable conducting outreach calls to introduce campaigns, invite prospects to events, share resources, or follow up on previous contact.
