We’re delighted to share that the Pride of Yorkshire Trail has officially launched, and we are proud to be part of this incredible charity initiative supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
As a business that values community, collaboration and giving back, getting involved in projects like this is an important part of who we are. The Pride of Yorkshire trail not only raises awareness and funds for a truly worthy cause, but also brings together local businesses, artists, schools and communities from across South Yorkshire.
What is the Pride of Yorkshire?
The Pride of Yorkshire is a large-scale public art trail featuring 150 lion sculptures and 150 lion cubs displayed across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster. Organised by Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, the initiative celebrates the hospital’s 150th anniversary while also raising vital funds to help transform the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Emergency Department into a calmer, more child-friendly environment aiming to:
- Reduce fear and anxiety for children and families in challenging times
- Support recovery and wellbeing of patients
- Help healthcare professionals deliver the very best emergency care
Why are Central Technology Taking Part?
Central Technology has a long-standing relationship with Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, having previously supported the hugely successful Bears of Sheffield trail, where we helped raise more than £15,000 towards the hospital’s emergency helipad.
More recently, we’ve also been proud to become the charity’s IT partner, supporting the team as they settled into their new office space by delivering the connectivity and infrastructure needed to keep them connected and operational.
We’re delighted to be supporting another fantastic charity initiative through Pride of Yorkshire, helping to make a lasting difference to children and families across the region.
As a Derbyshire-based business, we’re passionate about supporting initiatives that make a genuine difference within our communities. Supporting Pride of Yorkshire allows us to play a small part in a much bigger cause, helping Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity continue its vital work while reinforcing the values that define our business.
