Fletchers faced a critical IT challenge of implementing a solution that could integrate smoothly into their complex environment without causing disruption. With zero tolerance for downtime due to the financial and reputational risks involved, they needed a robust, resilient infrastructure capable of meeting strict recovery time objectives and supporting uninterrupted legal operations.
Dedicated Cloud Resources for Disaster Recovery
Our Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution, built on Veeam Cloud Connect, integrates seamlessly with Fletcher’s existing Veeam Backup & Replication environment. Replication jobs are configured to meet their Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), with selected virtual machines replicated on a scheduled basis.
To support full failover scenarios, a dedicated firewall—matching Fletcher’s existing setup—was deployed in our data centre, enabling secure external access to replicated servers.
In the event of a disaster, Fletchers can choose between a partial failover (powering on specific VMs connected to their local network) or a full failover (all VMs running in our environment with remote access via the firewall).
Our team continues to work closely with Fletchers, providing expert support and guidance to ensure the solution evolves with their needs. A dedicated team of IT specialists remains on hand, with direct escalation to director level when required.
