Proactive, Scalable IT Support for Charity Expansion

Case Study

We work in partnership with charities and non-profits to support them in achieving their operational and technological objectives through proactive IT support.

We were successfully selected through a competitive tender process, recognised for our ‘supportive and proactive IT support‘ approach. Our Strategic IT Review process reinforces this proactive approach by enabling us to deliver a bespoke technology roadmap tailored to each client’s unique needs

Snowdrop Project’s Search for a Proactive IT Partner

In 2020, as Snowdrop Project expanded its services across South Yorkshire and began collaborating with new partners, including local authorities and NGOs, the increased demand placed significant strain on its internal IT systems. This growth exposed outdated platforms, knowledge gaps, and potential security vulnerabilities.

To support its mission and future ambitions, Snowdrop Project required a strategic IT partner capable of delivering proactive IT support and building a robust technology foundation to enable sustainable growth and position the organisation as a leading charity in its field.

The Solution: Building a Strategic, Scalable IT Foundation

Following a rigorous and competitive tender process, we were selected as Snowdrop Project’s IT partner based on our supportive and proactive approach to IT service delivery. Over the past few years, we have worked collaboratively with staff across all levels of the organisation to gain a deep understanding of their operational needs and technological drivers. This partnership has enabled us to design and implement a strategic IT roadmap tailored to support their ongoing development and service expansion.

As part of Snowdrop’s growth, we provided technical support in consolidating third-party contracts and addressing network requirements for their new headquarters in central Sheffield. This included provisioning a new leased line, managed network infrastructure, enterprise-grade WiFi, and modern end-user devices.

To strengthen their digital capabilities and security posture, we deployed Microsoft 365 with integrated Mobile Device Management and implemented essential security measures such as Multi-Factor Authentication. In addition, we facilitated the secure migration of critical services including their Case Management System, telephony, and web hosting infrastructure.

With the foundations of improved IT systems and security standards provided by CT, we have engaged in a National contract and are working to achieve important ISO standards that are required at this level. We are also safe in the knowledge that all our sensitive data is secure and that we have a roadmap in place for the next five years that will meet our objectives. Together with CT, we continue to build a long term working relationship that provides the foundations we need to continue helping those who need our support most.”
