The Emergensea Duo – husband and wife team, Adam and Charlie; an A&E doctor and palliative care doctor, who are taking part in an in the incredible ‘Archipelago Yachts Polar Swim Challenge’. This extraordinary challenge takes them both to the end of the earth – literally, in a bid to raise £20,000 for Weston Hospicecare and the Ocean Conservation Trust.

The duo are set to swim an official ‘Ice Kilometer’ in the icy waters of both the Arctic Circle and Antarctica with no wetsuits, no lard, just standard swimming costumes. From the 24th August 2024 to 1st September 2024, the first leg of their journey will see them, brave the freezing waters near Svalbard, Norway.
